The photo walk in Strathaven is meet at 7.30
Park in the common green long stay car park behind Scotmid, ML10 6AQ
Meet at the Rifleman Khan statue at the car park entrance
From there we will walk around the common green up & over the old boo backit brig to the castle, then picturesque Alison Green, overlooked by the former east church , and bisected by the Powmillan Burn, thro the park & then up the cemetery & war memorial which if the weather behaves watch the sun descend over the town. The Powmillan burn follows most of this walk.
If anyone wants to see the spectacle’ee waterfall (>10m) and kype water which is a pleasant & impressive walk then that is better done before the Photowalk in decent light & I can guide you through that but we would need to be in Strathaven no later than 5pm, contact me directly if you wish to do this.
