People are the heart and soul of Irvine Camera Club and so it’s no surprise that when we are out and about throughout the year, that they also are of great interest as subjects for our photography.
Often people will walk up to us to see what we are up to and it’s a great opportunity to let them know about our club, but also to talk photography with them, show them our images and hopefully take their portrait.
Having a camera is a great way to meet people, to have conversations and make new friends. Photography is often something you go and do on your own, it can be isolating at times, so taking pictures of people is a very social and interactive way to create photography and a lot of fun.
On our travels this year, we have had the pleasure of meeting a lot of interesting people and for those that allowed us to take their picture, we present a few of them here.
We still have lots of walks to come this summer, so if you are interested in photography and would like to come along, it’s an opportunity to see new places, re-visit familiar sites, meet new people and chat about photography, then you would be made to feel very welcome. We have a full programme of events for the summer where visitors are most welcome to join us. If interested, drop us a message and get in touch.
