Irvine Camera Club are out and about every week over the summer, exploring areas that are new and returning to those we have been to before to see what has changed.
Murshiel Country Park in Lochwinnoch was a new destination for us this year, and with challenging weather it really felt like you were in out in the ‘wilds’ of Ayrshire. In between the sharp showers there was plenty to see with the light changing all the time it was tricky to capture.
However capture images we did, from the abundance of wildlife and scenery on view to the ruined buildings that sit in the landscape telling the story of the area and giving us a glimpse into the past.
Even on an evening like this there are images to find and being out on a walk with friends, sharing the experience, discussing photography is good for the head. The camera gives us the freedom to get out and about even on evenings when being inside somewhere warm may have been preferable.
Would you like to come and join us for one of our walks? If you are interested in photography and would like to come along, you would be made to feel very welcome. We have a full programme of events for the summer where visitors are most welcome to join us. If interested, just get in touch.
